These are the components that help pump the product from the bottle into your hands:

Actuator

This is why you press to pull the product out of the container. It is usually made of PP plastic and can come in many different designs and styles, some of which have locking features to prevent accidental additions.

The cap holds the entire assembly together and secures it to the bottle. It is usually made of PP plastic and comes with many different finishes and design options, including but not limited to metal casings.

Outer gasket

Gaskets are usually located inside the closure and act as a barrier against leakage. It can be made of many different materials, so it's important to test your product to ensure compatibility.

The housing holds all parts of the pump in place and acts as a chamber to transfer product from the dip tube to the actuator. It is usually made of PP plastic and can come in many styles and sizes, depending on the output and design of the pump. If you're mounting the pump on a glass bottle, be sure to check for fit and test for functionality and compatibility - glass bottles often have thicker sidewalls than you might expect.

Interiors

Fastened together within the housing, you can usually find components such as valve stems, pistons, springs, and balls - this may vary from pump to pump, and some may have additional components to aid flow or create metal-free passages to eliminate compatibility issues .

dip tube

The dip tube is a long plastic tube, usually PP, that runs from the bottom of the bottle to the pump. The size of the dip tube depends on the bottle and is usually cut in a way that maximizes output and prevents clogging.
